Suunto Quest GPS
The Suunto Quest GPS is new for 2013 and offers a super small 1.2 ounce GPS pod, by far the smallest Suunto or any other manufacturer has made as an external GPS pod.
The new watch in black with yellow highlights is super cool looking. The yellow is really eye catching and makes the display somehow easier to read. Of course, the font on the heart rate is super large, just like it is with all Suunto heart rate monitors.
The Suunto GPS Track Pod uses a lithium-ion battery that supplies 15 hours of battery in 1 second recording intervals which is the speed you want for running and cycling, but if you are mountaineering back it down to 60 seconds and it should work fine.
What we like is that the watch is light, about 1.4 ounces and by taking the GPS out it makes the watch about 1.2 ounces lighter, so when you go to the gym or don't need GPS you don't have to tote the extra weight around.
Suunto Quest GPS is also one of the nicer looking heart rate monitors on the market so you can certainly wear it as your every day watch.
We thought this particular watch bundle was so nice that it deserved its own webpage. It's a great GPS watch for active outdoor exercisers who want speed and distance data plus maps for any outdoor sport but would like a heart rate monitor for gym days.
