Magellan Switch Up GPS Watch With Mounting Systems
The Magellan Switch Up offers two distinct versions: 1.) with a mounting system, and 2.) with a mounting system and heart rate strap.
The Switch Up by Magellan offers a few features not offered in the standard Magellan Switch like a barometric altimeter, temperature gauge, vibrating alerts and a multi-sport mounting
kit. These four features constitute the major differences between the Switch and Switch Up.
IDEAL SPORTS PROFILES
For triathletes this is a great watch. While it lacks the lap and stroke features of the Garmin 910XT it does contain virtually every other feature the Garmin 910XT provides including
receiving signals from ANT+ power meters and it works with bike speed and cadence sensors, as well as foot pods that are ANT+. The quick Switch from wrist to bike mount makes it fast in the
transitions and the quick switch back to a watch band, plus the ability to quickly change battery packs to extend battery life without losing data is a real plus for full Ironman competitors.
For cyclists the Magellan Switch Up is better than most of the bike computers on the market and easily transitions to a bike mount. Get speed, distance, cadence, power, auto-pause, heart rate, altitude and
all the features you would expect to find from top bike computers.
For runners the Switch Up adds vibration alerts and a barometric altimeter which are handy for running, plus you can custom configure your screens to show heart rate, pace, distance and other vital data to perfect your pacing.
