Product Info
The brand new Garmin FR70 heart rate monitor watch is here and it has nice improvements over its precursor - the Garmin FR60. Unlike other
Garmin watches, the FR70 is not GPS but makes use of sensory devices to get distance and speed while cycling or running.
You can use the Garmin FR70 with a GSC10 speed and cadence sensor or a foot pod to provide you with both distance and pace in real-time.
The big improvements include a much more durable wrist strap. The FR60 had issues with wrist strap breakage and those issues have been fixed
in the FR70. The new more attractive form factor reminds us a lot of the Suunto M Series watches which we felt were much more attractive from a
design perspective. There is also improved button functionality that makes key presses a lot more precise.
Just like the Garmin FR60 this new Forerunner will include heart rate, the soft strap chest strap, have the Virtual Partner pacing
feature so you can race a pace, display calories burned in real-time and is water resistant to 50 meters thanks to new button covers. You also get
audible zone alerts for most any metric you could care to measure.
This watch is ideally suited to the gym, running or cycling for users that don't want, or need, a GPS watch. A GArmin FR60 buyer is someone who is looking
for a good buy, primarily interested in heart rate but may want to add some speed and distance features into the mix later for either cycling or
running.

The staff at the Heart Rate Watch Company is really excited to see this updated version of the FR60 come to market. The more robust wrist band, better buttons
and superior styling all make for a watch that should be popular for the Holiday season and beyond. It is good to see subsequent generations really
addressing previous generations shortcomings and strengthening the entire line.
