Polar FT4 Named Top Heart Rate Monitor Under $100
The Heart Rate Watch Company has named the Polar FT4 its top heart rate monitor for under $100 for 2011.
"This was an easy decision because there really are not any other fitness watches that offer this level of features for
under $100" said Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. Patented heart sensing fabric technology is used
in the chest straps dramatically improving the comfort, heart touch technology allows users to change screens without ever
pushing buttons and no other company is as well integrated with the gym equipment manufacturers.
In October Polar is bringing to exciting new color styles into the FT4 family - pink and purple for the ladies and orange
with black for the men. If these new styles are too racy for you then you can always revert to the original silver and black
for men and bronze for women.
Visual and Audible Notifications
Unique to Polar is a visual zone indicator that shows your heart rate on a graph and both ends of your zone as end points
on that graph. This really helps you stay focused on staying in your zones and no other heart rate monitor under $100 offers
this feature. Of course audible alerts can also help keep you on track so there are several ways that Polar gives you to customize
the tool to meet your needs.
The Polar FT4 also displays your calories in real time during your workout and uses automatic target zones that help you
improve your intensity throughout the workout.
This watch is ideally suited to exercise enthusiasts that are interested in heart rate monitoring, improving their workouts and
counting calories. The FT4 does not transfer exercise data to Polar Personal Trainer software so if that is an important criteria
you should consider the Polar FT7.
Another thing that sets Polar apart is its two year warranty. Most heart rate monitors only offer a one year warranty but
because Polar is a Finnish company and in the European Union it offers a two year warranty.
Whose Your Daddy?
Polar invented the heart rate monitor back in the 1970's and this has allowed them to gain lots of valuable feedback from trainers,
athletes and users to develop the best features in the industry. Polar also provides high quality training videos for the FT4 that
help users get started very easily and it is training tools like this that help users have a better experience. It is this type of
dedication toward creating products that meet customers needs that has really set Polar apart from other fitness watch companies.
"We work with a dozen different product manufacturers but for pure features it is hard to think of another manufacturer that
comes close to Polar in the area of heart rate based training" say Squire.
He continues, "This is why we are very proud to bestow upon the Polar FT4 our 2011 heart rate monitor of the year for the
category of best heart rate monitor under $100".
